- Threaded fittings: When small to medium pipe diameters are involved (typically up to 150 mm nominal bore), threaded fittings are often used. In Zimbabwe, almost all threaded irrigation fittings use BSP threads. - PVC fittings: PVC fittings connect to PVC pipes either with a standard PVC rubber seal or by being solvent welded onto the pipe. - Compression fittings: Connections to polyethene pipes are often made using compression fittings.
